Gold Filld /Gold Vermeil

Gold Filled:  Gold filled is an actual layer of gold-pressure bonded to another metal.  Gold filled is not to be confused with gold plating as filled has 100% more gold than gold plating.  Gold filled is much more valuable and tarnish resistant.  It does not flake off, rub off or turn colors.  As a matter of fact, anyone who can wear gold can wear gold filled without worries of any allergic reaction to the jewelry.  Gold filled jewelry is an economical alternative to solid gold!

Caring for Gold Filled:  Caring for Gold Filled items is as easy as caring for any gold jewelry. Simply keep away from chemicals, clean regularly with mildly sudsy water, rinse well and pat dry with a non-scratching cloth. Polish gently with a jewelry polishing cloth.

Gold Vermeil: Is sterling silver that has been gold-plated with 18K gold. This is a good combination for those with allergies to normal plated jewelry items. The difference between vermeil, and gold-filled, is in the thickness of the gold and the base metal used. In vermeil, the base is sterling silver.

Here are some tips on looking after your jewelry
The best way to look after your jewelry is careful wear and careful storage.
Moisture, lotions, perfumes, chlorine, household cleaning agents, salts - these are just few of the many things that can encourage tarnishing and harming your jewelry. Please avoid them at all costs.
We always take our jewelry off when washing our hands and applying lotion.
Perfume, make-up and hairspray should be put on before your jewelry. It is also important to take off your jewelry if you will be doing an activity that could be hard on it.
As much as we love taking care of our bodies by exercising, hiking, and exploring the outdoors, jewelry is not recommended to be worn during these fun activities as they may damage any set stones or scratch the metal surface of your jewelry. Please leave them in a safe place and they'll greet you with love every time you put them on again.
Sterling silver jewelry will tarnish when not being worn. It is best to store silver jewelry in an airtight zip lock bag.
We do not recommend using a silver dip or polish for cleaning, as these chemicals are often too harsh or abrasive and bad for the environment. The easiest way to clean all metal jewelry is by using an old toothbrush, baking soda and a little water to make a paste. Just brush your jewelry to remove tarnish and to make any piece of jewelry look like new again. This is a safe method even on a piece of jewelry that has pearls, stones or beads.
Keep in mind – jewelry is not durable and has the potential to wear down over time. This is especially true for pieces that are being worn every day. It should also be noted that not every piece of jewelry can be repaired. Wear the appropriate jewelry for the appropriate activities to avoid disappointment.

Measuring Your Finger
We always recommend coming into the store to properly size rings. If that is not possible, please follow the sizing guidelines below
- Your ring should fit your finger comfortably, snug enough so that it will not fall off but loose enough to slide over your knuckle.
- It's better to measure your finger at the end of the day ,when your fingers are warm.
1) Find a piece of non stretchy string, approximately 6 inches long
2) Wrap it snugly around your finger
3) Using a marker, mark the point on the string where it overlaps forming a complete circle
4) Compare the length of the string to the lines chart to determine your ring size.
